PlayStation 5

A review of the Sony PlayStation 5 Digital Edition

There are quite a few consoles and gaming consoles on the market at the moment, and almost everyone has probably heard of the Sony PlayStation. And now there’s already the Digital Edition 5, which can be said to really be the best. Considering that it came out in 2020, yet so far, many say that it is quite difficult to compete with it.

And even now, the PS5 is in particular demand from players. And it is very likely to become the new standard in the gaming industry.

The look of the PS5

The design of the device differs from its counterparts and predecessors, as everything is made in bright black and white. And this comes as a surprise to many users.

As for the size, it also makes this device stand out. The height is just over 40 centimetres. But even with this size, everything looks quite nice. All the small elements are carefully thought out and well made.

And there is another advantage that makes the new version stand out: the quiet operation of the fans. This is ensured thanks to the casing, which provides more airflow.

Another addition is the USB-C port, as the owner now has the option of using faster external devices. This could be a hard drive or an improved headset.

Increased resolution

The new generation consoles have a distinctive quality, namely visual effects. Today’s model gives you the ability to run games in 4K resolution. And the PS5 has a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. But there’s a lot more processing power here too, especially when it comes to advanced visual features like ray tracing, for example.

825GB of storage

This is the biggest upgrade in the new version. The 825GB M.2 SSD boosts data transfer speeds in many ways. And compared to the previous model, it’s really noticeable.

It now takes only a few minutes to load, even hour-long downloads now take minutes, which is extremely important for the modern gamer. And FPS is not increasing, which is also an important factor.

Menu

Even the opening screen is very different from the PS4. Improved graphics with reduced icons have done their job. Navigation is incredibly fast, especially compared to previous models.

And now the home screen menu is separate from the media. Calling up the game menu will show a set of maps with full information, with progress, news and so on.
