Tank Recon 3D Game Review

Love tanks? Love the WOT project? Then you probably dreamed that something like this appears on the mobile platform. Dreams have come true – this is Tank Recon 3D project. Let me firstly mention that graphically the game doesn’t reach the level of its “big brother”, but it’s excusable. Taking into account the very modest requests of the developers regarding the cost of their creation – it’s twice as forgivable.

So, having decided to try the game, which had repeatedly received praise from friends and acquaintances, I installed it on my phone and soon found myself in command of an advanced reconnaissance tank known as Alpha. The premise is deliberately straightforward: Tank Recon 3D focuses on first-person tank combat and gets the player into the action without an elaborate introduction. The game was developed by Lone Dwarf Games Inc. as a single-player vehicle-combat title, with Alpha placed at the centre of a wider conflict against the Hepion forces. This gives the battles a simple narrative background without turning the experience into a story-heavy war game. One particularly useful feature is the ability to save and resume progress, which makes it practical for shorter gaming sessions on a phone. There are also three difficulty settings — Normal, Hard and Mental — allowing players to return to the action at a higher level of challenge once they have become familiar with the basic mechanics. As is usual in games of this type, there is little time to settle in before hostile forces begin putting the new commander under pressure from several directions.

I should note that you can play the game in mission mode, as well as in survival mode, when you just have to destroy all the moving that appears in your field of view. The view from the cockpit allows you to enjoy good graphics.

Game Controls

Management of the game is very handy. Under the fingers of the left hand is comfortable virtual joystick, the right hand does not fall less convenient function keys. A counter of the remaining armor and “health” is displayed on top. In short, a classic of the genre. I warn fans of excessive game realism – projectiles are unlimited. Generally. But there are only three homing missiles. So try to save them for particularly difficult situations.

For destroyed enemy vehicles you get bonuses – armour and fuel. After you complete a certain number of missions and kill lots of enemies you get new maps and vehicles. As you “grow up” the tanks become more and more technically equipped, and their combat strength increases many times over.

Who do you fight in the game?

Opponents. If you expect them to come at you in droves, waiting for you to pick the perfect angle, you’re sadly mistaken. The NPS here have good tactical skills, so you have to be careful with them. You have to remember that only constant movement can save you from enemy shells and missiles.

Remember, too, that you are threatened not only by enemy tanks, but also by aircraft. You have to be constantly on the lookout, and even the sky is alert. Agree – it adds adrenaline to the gameplay! By the way, remember that the game records all your achievements, and you can see the scores of the best players in the world on the Internet.

In general, after the tests we can conclude that the game is worth downloading and installing. Not bad physics and graphics, a wide variety of enemies and combat vehicles that are presented in the game give reason to call it the best mobile simulator of its kind.
